As official member of the Fédération de kayak de mer et de canot du Québec and of the Association québécoise de pourvoyeurs en kayak de mer, safety is Expedition Agaguk's most important concern. We thus give priority to enforcing all current safety standards required by the industry (Aventure et écotorisme Québec) as well as to the training of our guides and of our guests. Indeed, the training of our guides is centered upon the knowledge of the maritime environment, the mastery of self rescue techniques, of first aid skills, the operation of safety equipment (VHF, GPS, radar reflector, rockets signalling, etc.) in compliance with the Canadian Coast Gard's security standards. We also make sure that our expeditions never exceed the ratio of one guide for six participants.

Furthermore, in Minganie we can always count, if exceptionally needed, on the logistic support and skills of Parks Canada patrol teams, who are equipped with four barges and one zodiac.
